| The Farm |
 The farm Casalicchio in Polignano a Mare (BA) has inherited the culture, competence and pluriannual experience in the fruit and vegetable production of three generations of the family Chiarella. Through the favourable geographic and climatic position of Polignano (traditional agricultural town in Apulia), the Chiarellas were always characterized by their great devotion to the fruit and vegetable production, which they follow in each phase: from the growth of seedlings in hothouses, to their cultivation and harvest, up to the selection and packaging of the products in their own factory. The total control of the WHOLE PRODUCTIVE CYCLE makes the great strength of Casalicchio, through which the farm has reached a leader position in the European Community markets. For the same reason Casalicchio can also guarantee to its trade partners FIRST QUALITY products, great FRESHNESS and COMPETITIVENESS, so that it aims always at the best relationship QUALITY/PRICE.
AN EVOLVING TRADITION
Casalicchio has always kept unchanged the traditional authenticity and freshness of its products, but at the same time it takes care of fitting to a market which is continuously evolving and to the always different requirements of its customers. Since a long time, Casalicchio has applied the HACCP system for the self-control and the hygiene in the factory, whereas in the production it follows the rules of the E.E.C. “LOTTA INTEGRATA” protocol. Achieving the Eurepgap certificate in 2006, Casalicchio guarantees the healthness and high quality of all its production. In the working process the firm uses some of the most modern technologies of the sector, such as the “automatic net-packing machines”, for the packing of small baskets, the Vert-bag machine, the “Vacuum-hydro cooler” and the automatic machine for the packing of pallets. |
